Happy New Year!!
My Dinosaur Christmas Cookies
If you have time i’ve got a little christmas story for you :).
It was christmas 2009 and it was the second last school day of the year. It was carol service day which meant we spent all morning doing christmasy things and the afternoon was spent singing quietly in the church because the carols were impossibly high to sing (It would be nice if we sang popular christmas songs but i guess thats not really the point of carol service).
I was fortunate to have the Food Tech room as my form room so I decided to bake some cookies for the Christmas/Leaving party for our maths teacher the next day. I remember baking around 40 dinosaur shaped cookies for 3 hours that day and I loved every second of it. Everyone was in a super christmasy mood as we ate chocolates and watch a film (I think we watched twilight). I iced and decorated the cookies, and left them in the food tech room ready for the next day.
The next day, I woke up to see a fresh blanket of snow outside. This was enough snow to cancel school. Unfortunately, this meant I had left over 35 cookies at school that would be left uneaten. Sad, I know, but all was not lost. Being the food loving person that I am, i had snuck 3 cookies into my lunchbox to take home. And to this day, I still remember them. They were the best ever cookies I have ever eaten.
If you’ve read this far I would like to say thank you and reward you with the recipe (by clicking on the title) to my dinosaur cookies. I hope you’ll make them and have a very merry Christmas :)
